17.11 lakh Porting requests in 15 days : TRAI
About 15 days after the national rollout of the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) service, TRAI has revealed MNP figures. According to the figures more than 17.11 lakh mobile subscribers across India submitted their requests for switching to other mobile service provider in MNP regime.
The MNP service was introduced on a pilot basis in Haryana on November 25, 2010 and was later rolled out pan-India from January 20 this year. Of the total 17.11 lakh requests received, about 2.29 lakh were from Haryana circle where MNP was first implemented. Continue reading
Nokia Bicycle Charger Kit coming to India in March
Nokia has finally launched its Bicycle Charger Kit for European markets at a price of $41. The kit is expected to come to Indian market in March.
The Bicycle Charger Kit comes with a charger, holder, mounting bracket and a dynamo that generates current by hugging up against the spinning tire’s sidewall. The components are dirt and weather resistent, and the phone itself is held on with a couple of rubber straps.
Nokia promises that the charger will provide 28 minutes of talk time from just 10 minutes spent moving at between 4 and 50mph. It’s compatible with all Nokia handsets that have a 2mm charger interface. Continue reading

To use this service you need a Google account and the latest version of Google chrome as the browser on Windows Platform. Linux and Mac support is coming soon.
